So in the end I have tried your Mac model and it was pretty fast with RX 580 and it was driving a 4K LG display. As I said they were similiar to my 2016 Mac, the boost was incredible even if it has Thunderbolt 1 and weak CPU nowdays.

I could probably still use a similar enclosure to what you have but I would need an adapter, since I have the original Thunderbolt on my Mac. I see that your system is a 2016 MacBook Pro.not a 2011.
